Dear students, teachers and parents:

The following matters need to be reported to you:

1. Our students Sunira Anderson and Sami Lu won 1st and 3rd awards separately in 7-12 age groups of Chinese Reciting Competition of 2011 organized by NSW Chinese Language Schools Council. Congratulations to them!

2. NSW Federation of Community Language Schools is organizing “Community Language Short Film Competition”, there are three age groups: 5-8?9-12?14-18. The film is strictly no longer than 2 minutes, should use community language with English subtitle. The awards will be: 1st prize $200, 2nd prize $150, 3rd prize $100. The close date is 30 July. We hope our students to join the competition. The details and application form can be pick up from Ms Hu, the Deputy Principal.

3. Australian Chinese Language Schools Association will organize a Chinese arts performance in September, the program could be singing, action(dancing, Kung-Fu,etc.), language (talk show, short drama, etc.) , music instrument playing. Programs must have Chinese cultural elements. Welcome our students to submit programs. Details and application form can be picked from Ms Hu.

4. HSK & YCT tests of this year will be held on 10 Sep. These standard tests can accurately scale your Chinese language ability; students who completed any one textbook can join the test. Application can be submitted from now; the application form is available in our school.

5. The nomination of our school for minister award of this year has been done; Noelle Lin and Sophy He have been selected, due to their good attendance, outstanding academic results and joining schools’ activities. We hope all students to learn from them and win Minister Award in future.

6. There 4 students of our school will join the summer camp to China, Ms Hu will be one of leading teacher to supervise them. They will departure on 1 July.

7. The last week of our school in this term will be 2 July (Saturday class) and 3 July( Sunday class). The first day of next term will be 23 July. Please enjoy holiday and return to school on time. Don’t miss out class.
