The first day of term 1 of 2024 willbe 3 Feb for Granville campus and 3 Feb for Saturday classes of Wentworth Point campus, 5 Feb. for Monday classes of WWP campous, 6 Feb. for Tuesday classes of WWP campus. For more details, please check the school calendar.

The end dates of our school’s fourth term in 2023 are: Monday classes at Wentworth Point Campus are 11 Dec.; Tuesday classes are 12 Dec.; Saturday classes are 16 Dec.; Saturday classes at Granville Campus are 16 Dec.; Sunday classes are 17 Dec. Our school will start term 1 of 2023 fom 4 Feb. 2023 Saturday. In the Granville campus, the new classes of kindergarten class and Year 1 class will be at 9:30am-12:00pm.. The other existing classes will be at same time. In Wentworth Point campus, we are going to set up new kindergarten class and Year 1 class at 3:15pm-5:15pm Tuesdays, and 9:30am-11:30am(Year1), 2:30pm-4:30pm(Kindergarten) in Saturdays. The other existing classes will be at same time. Please check timetable.

Our school will re-start face to face classes in new term from 5 Feb. 2022. The new classes of kindergarten class and Year 1 class will be face to face teaching. The other existing classes will be face to face or online teaching depends on most students' willing. Please check with school or class teacher. We also adjusted morning class starting time from 9:00am to 9:30am. Please check timetable.

Our school will continue face to face classes in new term from 30 Jan. 2021. We hope all of our existing students can return to school. We welcome new students to enrol our varius courses. Please download Enrolment Form and sedn it to us before the commence of the new term.

The first day of term 4 will be 17 October. The Covid-19 social distancing policy will remain same as before. As the department of Edication has inform us to Some classes wil return face to face teaching and some others will keep online teaching, existing students can check with the class teacher to find out the details.

Our school received a letter from NSW department of Education, to inform state wide community schools to pause face to face classes and turn to online classes from 31 Aug. 2020 to the end of term 3 until further notice to be served.

Our school will re-start face to face classes in term3 of 2020. The first day in Granville campus will be 25 July Saturday; The first day in Wentworth Point campus will be 24 July Friday. We welcom old students to return on time and new students to enrol now.

Due to the situation that coronavirus cases happened in China, our school decide to postpone one week starting the new term.The1st day in Granville campus will be 8 Feb. The 1st dya in Wentworth Point Campus will be 7 Feb.but we can accept new enrolment on site one week earlier. We require all students, parents and teachers who came from China recently do not come to our school in two weeks since the arriving date. The students and parents who did not travelled to China but have fever, also do not come to our school until they have recovered.

In 4 Sep. 2016, our school's choir was invited by Chinese Students' Union of Sydeny University to join Moon Festival Ceremony in Sydney Town Hall, performed 2 songs which are 'The Cresent Moon" and "Jasmine Flower". The final class dates of term 4, 2015 are 12 & 13 December. The annual closing ceremony will start at 9:30am 12 Dec. Saturday. The students whose class time is 9:00am Saturday should come to school at normal time and other students are welcome to school before 9:30am on that day to attend the ceremony, all parents are welcome of course. The main contents are awarding and performance.

Our school is going to organize an excursion after this term. The date is 19 Dec. Saturday, to a farm named Fern Valley Ranch , 180 Silvesters Road, Somersby (Turn off from Wisemans Ferry Road) , about one hour drive from our school. To get details about this farm, please visit: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~chunglee/ the fees are $25 per adult (13 years old and over) and $12 per child (6-12 years old), it covers BBQ, desert and orange picking up. * Our student Xuetao Zhang won 2nd position in Language Perfect World Championship 2013

Xuetao born in Australia and never got formal Chinese laguage education in other countries. He study Chinese in our school since 5 years old and continuly study for more than 10 years in our school. He joined the competition organized by his public high school. This competition is the biggest online language competition in the world. The award certificate of Xuetao Zhang says: " 2 nd Chinese Student, Xue Tao Zhang , Girraween High School, Congratulations for answering 45,697 questions and scoring19,604 points in Chinese during the Language Perfect World Championships 2013. You placed 2nd in Chinese overall out of 225,000 competitors from around the world ? "

*In the Chinese reciting competition Australia wide 2013, our school won 3rd award in 13-15 years group match, 2nd award in 10-12 years presonal match and 2nd award in 13-15 personal match. Congtalulations to our students, teachers and parents!Australia wide Chinese Riciting Competition accept application deom now and the deadline is 15 March 2013. We encharage uor students to join. *Our school change name from "Datong Chinese School Granville" into "Sydney Elite Chinese School" since 2013.

*Our school have got the results of Chinese Cultural knowledge competition, 15 students passed and 7 students got outstanding score among 24 enrolled students. Our school became the number one school with most outstanding results among all schools in NSW.

*Our School open on 30/01/2010. We are going to estabulish Fast Chinese Class on Sunday. It is suitable for high school and University students who lost the chance to study Chinese but want to learn it now. 2009 winter camp to China has completed successfully and returned to Sydney on 11/01/2010. The camp included 45 students and 5 teachers. They visited Shanghai and Chongqing in 25 days. The students were very happy with this trip. They learned much knowledge regarding China and Chinese culture. (Published on 15/01/2010)
