Dear students, parents & teachers,

The epidemic is raging the most difficult 2020 has passed. Although it is difficult, our school has never suspended classes. Many students insist on participating in online courses. Many parents support their children not to give up learning Chinese. This is worthy of admiration! 2021 is the year of the ox, and it should be a year of more strenuous progress. We sincerely thank most of our old classmates for returning to school and warmly welcome new classmates and new parents! We hope that new students will learn about the school’s rules and regulations as soon as possible, become familiar with the new learning environment, and integrate into our big family. We hope everyone understands the following precautions:

• Our school’s rules and regulations and important information are posted on our school’s website, www.sydelitecs.com.au , so stay tuned. New students and parents should especially read the
"Student Code" and "Guide to Parents", please visit: http://www.sydelitecs.com.au/content/rules.htm

• Our school has a parent WeChat group and WeChat group for each class, the purpose is to facilitate timely communication between the school, teachers and parents. Parents who have not yet joined the group can ask the school or class teachers how to join the WeChat group. Parents groups and class groups are mainly used for the exchange of school information. Please abide by the group rules and do not publish political, religious posts, commercial advertisements, etc. that are not related to teaching in the group. After a student leaves our school, we will move their parents to the alumni group. If the student returns to our school in the future, we can add the parents back to the parents group. Regarding the alumni group, all current or outgoing teachers of our school, current students, and students who ever studied in our school and their parents are our alumni. They can stay in the alumni group for a long time and still be able to keep in touch with our school. Our school will always share valuable information with you.

• If parents pay the tuition fee via online transfer, please be sure to enter the student’s English name or the Chinese PinYin of the Chinese name. Do not enter Chinese characters, otherwise the bank system will not be able to display it, and it will be difficult for the school to confirm which student’s tuition is. It is easy to cause misunderstanding by parents if we ask the parents.

• The good news is that our school has just been approved as an Active Kids Provider. From now on, students in Chinese Kung-Fu class can use Active Kids Voucher to offset $100 tuition. With this discount, we hope that more students will sign up for Kung-Fu class.

•This semester we have divided some of the larger classes into two classes. We hope that the class size will be roughly balanced. This is also for the sake of students, and we hope that parents will respect the school's class adjustment arrangements as much as possible. Generally speaking, most of our old classes still have more vacancies. We hope that parents can recommend some students to join the classes.

• In the past many years, our Granville campus’s kindy class have been 9:30-11:30am. Some families have two or more children and they are delivered together at 9:00am. The children in the kindy class have to wait for half an hour before starting class, which is a little inconvenient for the parents. We are going to change the kindy classes’ time to 9:00-11:30am from the next term, which will be synchronized with most Chinese classes.

• Our school needs to declare student information to the NSW Department of Education every year, which needs to be checked with the student's name in the full-time school. Therefore, parents are requested to be consistent with the name registered in the full-time school when filling in the child's name to our school. Any old student who has changed their full-time school, newly entered a full-time school, or changed home address and contact details, please notify our school as soon as possible.

• Some parents fail to pick up their children after school on time. If the children run around, it is easy to cause safety hazards. We hope that parents can pick up the children after school on time to reduce the possibility of accidents.

• Remind parents: When dropping off or picking up children in Granville campus, do not stand your car at drive way of the main entrance of the school, so that sometimes our teachers cannot drive into the campus to park, which affects the on-time class, and it is also unsafe. If you need to park on campus, you can slowly drive into the campus from the Florrie St entrance. In addition, if you do not have a disabled parking permit, please do not park in the disabled parking space near the entrance of Lena St. You may be fined $500. Some parents have been fined. Also be careful not to park the car at the entrance and exit of nearby residential buildings.
